"Oh no you dont!" she shouts at Kazimir Wynter as Mr Rime and Joltik had something to say about it. Mr Rime however had a rather interesting idea as melody looked at it an nodded. She began to tap dance one again mimicking mr rime's movement as she decided to create a lot of chaos, it's shoes clicked and clacked against the concrete and used TEETER DANCE to confuse anyone looking at glitch maverick or Melody Miro 's pokemon hopefully forcing duraldon to fire away from them. Melody ran up to glitch and handed him a charja-cola from the convenience store and one for herself. "We gotta make sure to stay hype!" she said as she surely danced enough today to burn off a charja-cola [break][break]

After everyone was thoroughly confused Joltik was going to take advantage and start to fire electro webs on glitch and Melody's goal to prevent any soccer balls from going in! A good offense was an amazing defense! "Let's keep the show going glitch!"

As the game faced interference from old men, trash goblins, and masked marauders with mechs, the Mimikyu in the soccer ball had been in action. Shadowy hands flew out of the ball as it rolled around the outer edges of the parking lot, steering itself with well-timed slaps to the asphalt. The ghost claws flew out, seizing onto one goal post to swing itself around and around like a tetherball on a string.

“24... 25...” Chryssa continued to count idly, still sitting at one of the convenience store tables. Maybe she didn’t need Oona after all.

Unfortunately, the HYPER BEAM which blasted through the parking lot caught Mimikyu in its path. The outer walls of the soccer ball were blasted asunder, peeling like an orange and spewing its ghostly contents like black tar.

<REEEEE!>

Maxwell was hurtled along the path of the Hyper Beam directly towards the dumpster— exactly where he didn’t want to be on another wild joyride with an out-of-control driver. Dark miasma boiled from the punctured soccer ball and infested one of the bags of trash.

There was a moment of stillness before a red McNumel’s Super-Size French Fry Carton vaulted the lip of the dumpster, standing on the edge for a moment with glinting eyes. The Mimikyu used HONE CLAWS on the metal, scraping its shadowy hands along the rusted green paint with a terrible screeching sound.

Unfortunately, Maxwell never got to attack— faced with Melody Miro ’s TEETER DANCE, he jumped the lip of the dumpster and scuttled forwards towards the tap-dancer instead, his fry container wobbling endearingly as he shambled across the parking lot. Joining Mr. Rime, Maxwell proceeded to shimmy and shudder beside it like an amateur backup dancer.

Beep. One Charja-Cola Zero.

”Oolooloo.”

Beep. One Charja-Cola Classic.

”Oolooloo looloo.”

As she rung up the total and handed the customer a receipt, Oona checked the time on her cell phone. Her shift— or the shift of the person she’d been mistaken for— wasn’t over for another three hours.

“HOLD UP!” Her manager suddenly shouted. Oona jumped, turning to see where he was pointing just in time to see the automatic doors close behind Raziel Beckett ‘s Meowstic. “STOP, THIEF!”

He made as if to run after the little Pokemon, but another customer came up to the counter demanding cigarettes and the man was reluctantly drawn back in.

After a moment, he suddenly whirled on the Jynx. “What, are you just going to stand there looking pretty?” he demanded, turning back for a moment. Oona’s heart soared. “Go get him!”

The automatic doors flew open and Jynx sailed out in a blast of refrigerated air, ruffling Chryssa’s skirts as she passed. “Oh, there you are,” the girl said as the humanoid Pokemon sent a blast of BLIZZARD out ahead of her, crystallizing deadly BLACK ICE across the pavement.

The worst nightmare of any winter driver, the sheet of dark, gleaming ice would prove a slippery obstacle to the driving dumpster and any convenience store thieves who tried to scamper across its surface.

What what?! Mr Rime suddenly had a dance partner, chryssa glasgow 's mimikyu was dancing along side as it started to get confused in mr rime's strange rhythm. However the two would suddenly be launched into a blizzard of all places! Snow day!!! Mr. rime was unbothered by the sudden slick ice in the area as his shoes were made of ice but it did change the sound of his shoes clicking against it. [break][break]

It sounded more...glassy? It was the word melody would describe it as. Joltik however was extremely upset by the sudden change in temperature and Melody quickly had to fix that. As mr rime danced with mimikyu she headed inside with the bug pokemon and came back out with it bundled in a little sweater and hat on it that said juicy for some reason. [Break][break]

It was the best she could do! They apparently ran out of heat packs from that one region that produces a lot of the stuff that Hoenn buys! She tried to read the label on the back but the blizzard was making it hard to see "Made in B-Byna?" she said curiously as she tried to read the tag on the clothes...Oh yeah apparently they like to write a different language on their clothes as it was trendy. Kinda like how clothes with kantonian language on it was trendy in hoenn. certainly explains why a joltik sweater would have juicy written on it. [break][break]

Regardless! Joltik was back in action as it was aiming to mess with some of the fellow contestants! Mr Rime began to skate across the ice and used it's stick to smack the new soccerr ball tossed out by one of the assistants from within the convenience store and score a goal into chryssa's goal as mimikyu was currently preoccupied. Joltik tried to help mr rime build up momentum by shooting out a string shot and doing a circular movement to build up speed by swinging. Mr rime slammed the ball with it's stick and hopefully landed the shot!

A lot of stuff happens that Gavin's less than prepared for.

One of the cats gets fixated on his Klefki, and the poor thing spends a while trying to out-float its grasping paws. Then some crotchety old guy sits in the middle of their makeshift soccer field and refuses to move, which — Gavin can think of several ways to force him, none of which were likely to go over well with the judges.

Then there's litter everywhere, and not the kitty litter you'd expect.

"All right, Klefki, you're on distraction duty. Torment 'em."

With an annoying jingle of its many keys, the dual-type gets right up in the ears of any Pokemon not belonging to Gavin or Alexei Ivanov and starts TORMENTING them with the sound. With a chime that sounds almost like a sinister giggle, it does its best to distract the other teams away from both the collection of trash and the game at hand.

Corviknight goes in for a much more direct approach, swooping down to THIEVE the ball from Melody Miro's Mr. Rime.

Now this was something else, melody watched as this poor klefki was man handled by the cats. Poor baby- wait no that poor baby is being a rat bastard now what the hell! It seems like Mr rime missed the goal so melody decided it was time to use the biome to her advantage again, both of her pokemon were struck with the torment so she couldn't reuse moves right after one another. So time for a game plan change! [break][break]

"Mr rime! Use that "terrain" as ammo! Use psychic and FIRE SOLDIER, RETURN IT FROM WHENCE IT CAME!!" she says saluting to him as he slaps the big red nose on his stomach and begins to emit a psychic power that causes the garbage on the field to fly right torwards klefki, sweeping up the little bugger in it and aiming for the dumpster to return the trash from whence it came! ~~Along with klefki swept up in it!!!~~ [break][break]

While Mr rime handled the little keychain, Joltik was on a mission to get the ball back. Since it couldnt keep using string shot it instead opted to use agility, parkouring on the trash and using the trash bags Mr. rime was controling as platforms to leap off of towards the ball Mr. Rime missed shooting. Once it reached the ball it then rolled the ball and aimed towards the goal!

glitch maverick's combination Recycle and dumpster stopped the Venoshock handily, and the flying bag of Trubbish hit the inside of the bin with a wet BANG. Sparkling water, fresh coffee grounds, and sparkling aluminum cans sloshed around inside Trubbish. The slash in its side had been healed, and the recycled plastic of its green bag looked glossy and fresh from the store. Trubbish smiled at Sourball with straightened teeth, just as a massive blast rocked the dumpster.
The Hyper Beam from Kazimir Wynter's Duraladon tore through the parking lot asphalt like a fire hose through a burnt waffle. Blackened chunks pelted the side of the dumpster, an icy blast froze what little flat surface remained of the lot, and a burst of strange, synopated music left Trubbish disoriented.
There was little to save the duo as their stinky chariot careened out of control, sliding and sloshing and heading straight towards the road.

Raziel Beckett scrored 3 points for Black team by getting Mr Weathermyer a refreshing drink.

glitch maverick scored 2 points for Pink team by getting him another drink and some snacks, and 1 more point for saving his life (he wasn't very grateful).

Mr. Weathermyer grumbles off into the night, complaining about 'the youth' and how he shouldn't have to bloody wait just to get a soda, especially at this time of night. And did they know how old he was?
Old enough to be treated with some damn respect, now that's for sure!

Okay, whoa—

Like holy shit, whoa.

There was something headed his way—and seeing as both his Pokémon were too far away to reach him in time, the only thing Alexei could do was to raise his hands and hopefully block it—

But the impact he was bracing for never came.

Instead, though…

There was even more insanity going on around everyone! Seeing as the ball was currently being tussled with by Patrick’s Corviknight and a little cute Joltik—

It was time to sweep in.

“Mike!” he shouted, and that was all the Pelipper needed. After it had disposed of the garbage earlier, the Pelipper burst forward with another Agility and attempted to scoop up the ball from the Joltik’s possession!

Whether or not it was going to work would be… well…

Seeing that there was slick ice all around the ground, and knowing how much of a danger it was, another sharp whistle called his Chandelure to attention.

“Melt the ice! Too risky for anyone to get injured!”

With that the Chandelure took aim towards the slippery pavement and unleashed a powerful Inferno of flames, an attempt to crack the ice and make the path more traversable for anyone who was prone to lose their balance.

Couldn’t have any more injuries out here now could they?!

The hellbird (Pelipper) attempts to get back into the game by swooping down with an Agility and attempting to snatch the ball away from the Joltik!

Meanwhile the Chandelure takes an attempt to melt the black ice on the pavement with a powerful Inferno blast of flame. Get outta the way!

after their little stint, kyle scratches his head as his pokemon suddenly find themselves distracted by the dog toys at the corner of the store. they weren't exactly toys specifically for dogs, but they find everything that fits in their mouth toys anyways.

"i think that's enough pictures," he tells himself as he stuffs his phone back to his pocket. he whistles, claps twice, and then points to the outside. "now go!"

the mightyena bursts out of the convenience store, lungs ready for a loud roar to get the attention of its doggy brethren. soon enough, the collection of all pet dog pokemon in the city join the chorus.

at first, only one voice responds back. before long, another one joins, until the number of members in the choir starts to exponentially grow.

the song is infectious. everything else sings back with their howls and snarls and growls.

the volume starts to get too loud and the melody between each bark becomes chaotic. verbal instructions become too difficult to discern amid the noise and the howls of the night only brings to strengthen the spirit of each dog contributing to the song.

this gives the other mightyena a chance to swoop in.

the canine goes in in an attempt to snatch the ball away from the pelipper's grasp, speeding up with the pelipper's own speed boost from agility to steal it from the joltik before it can and shoot it for the goal.

Now that's not very nice, of course the ice was dangerous for people to be walking on with shoes but he stole the stage from the main performer! Oh well, a star knows how to adapt to any situation and so she would. Mr Rime's slippin and slide came to a screeching halt.

She needed to think of a new way to use the biome to her advantage. She looked around for whatever she could find, a parking lot, the convenience store, wait a second. Parking lot? There were surely cars nearby right? Melody ran into the store really fast looking for something in the back, joltik would try to use electro web on whoever was going to try and stop them as she gave a thumbs up to the little bugger. [break][break]

Melody ran back outside and immediately ran through the field, dodging and weaving with Mr rime any stray attacks coming their way. When she arrived to the sidewalk she saw that the street nearby still had cars going down it. Hah! Perfect! Melody pulled out a spinning sign and began to spin it around to try and attract customers to the field? New obstacle for everyone and a unique way of using the biome, no one could score if people were in the way parking their cars! Some cars parked right in front of melody and glitch maverick 's goal to block any shots from entering theirs and in really inconvenient spots for the other trainers.[break][break]

Mr rime even gave so good ol razzle dazzle to the display and did the same ally switching trick between him and melody from their first performance to give it some extra zazz. Cars started to turn over to try and nab those delicious sales on buy one get ones or 30% off select coffees and donuts! Just to ensure their safety! Mr. Rime also set up some reflects on the cars and made a path for them to safely get into the store!

the spinning object is enough to catch the attention of the dog. multiple things can be counted as toys for them, including signboards.

"hotel, no!" kyle shouts when he sees his pokemon run through literal fire and ice to get to Melody Miro . unfortunately, the loud dog noises was their own undoing and kyle's message couldn't reach the dog.

like a thief, it goes for the signboard by Melody Miro and her mr. rime's, ignoring everything else. its maw tries to take it by force, pulling it from their hold like a dog forcing its owner to play tug-of-war with him.

the other mightyena, on the other hand, goes full force on the ball. a foul play is in motion, as it aims to ricochet the ball on the faces of the joltik and the pelipper, giving up on actually trying to score.

kyle stands at the entrance of the convenience store, trying to suppress the laughter from the scene unfolding before him. the voice gets drowned by everything else, but the wheezing from him is visibly obvious.

Was kyle a fan or something? He was probably too proud to admit he liked her girly pop music. Oh well! Stupid dog managed to steal her sign again! The joltik didn't have much it could do against the ball and was thrown along with it since it's flying speed. Joltik unable to hear melody's command decided to use discharge on whatever poor fool tries to touch the ball or get near it, indiscriminately firing in all directions only to be blocked by the physical walls of Mr Rime's psychic energy to protect the patrons of the store. [break][break]

Mr rime who was still mimicking melody and unable to hear her decide to play a game of charades to figure out what move he wants her to do, so of course she decided to do the Alolan Z-move dance to tell her Mr Rime to use psychic. Mr rime understands the sudden game of charades and taps the red nose on it's belly and uses it's psychic energy to rip the ball and direct The joltik ball which slowly started to look more and more like a disco ball to try and shock kyle's dogs from touching the ball again.

Grimmsnarl was put through the wringer for sure. First he was electrocuted, causing him to fall into his garbage hoard. Before he could get up, a confuse ray would sent the world spinning! That's not all, the dumpster itself would be launched through the field. It was quite the ride for poor Grimmsnarl, who was bashed against the sides over and over again like a stray bouncy ball. This couldn't possibly get worse.

Except it did. A hyper beam smashed through the dumpster, sending Grimmsnarl and quite a bit of garbage flying through the air. His form could be easily seen, but with all the chaos going on he may have gone unnoticed. He landed inside the convenience store, smashing through the door like a wrecking ball. Oscar gulped, trying not to make eye contact with Zac.

Grimmsnarl got himself up, brushing off his hair muscles before looking to the battlefield. It was--it bit much. He decided that the effort wasn't worth it, plopping down to take a breather. Grabbing some snacks on a nearby shelf, the Grimmsnarl would eat his fill while watching the end of the game.

as soon as it gets the ball in play, the mightyena watches the grimmsnarl crash into the convenience store, where kyle's laughter would be replaced with a panicked (manly) shout as he dodges it. another distraction comes that takes his sights away from it, however.

the ball hits the mightyena right in the face. it coincidentally shifts its attention to the thing that does the most movement in its vision range at the moment: melody miro, sootopolis gym leader and probably someone else's sister from another mother.

the z-move dance awakens something inherent to him. it amps him up, getting him excited as every fur in its body tingle and stand on its ends after getting jolted by the joltik.

it gets him to want to use a z-move.

"foxtrot, not you too!" kyle shouts when he sees his pokemon start charging up an unfamiliar attack. unfortunately, the loud dog noises was their own undoing and kyle's message couldn't reach the dog.

z-move acid downpour!

the mightyena conjures a swamp of sludge, releasing it onto the entire parking lot. it comes as an unstoppable force from the dark-type's position, forcing the ball, along with the joltik on it, into the heavy tidal wave towards the goal.

every debris that came from the contest's clown show gets to join it into one big pile of garbage, which is pretty much the most common thing in the city.

hotel, as soon as he gets the signboard from melody, hops on it and rides the z-move with its sunglasses on. thunder fang infuses the entire board with electricity before he hopped on it. it results to flashy sparks on the tail end of its makeshift surfboard, bringing attention to the canine for no reason.

at least there were barriers to keep the sludge away from any other people.

BIOME BADGE GYM CHALLENGE - URBAN

ROUND 2 - JUDGING

JUDGING

"Amazing! What a game of soccer!" Zac said, as he sifted through the piled up wreckage of kyle lopez 's toxic sludge wave. He found what he was looking for, and picked up the drool covered, punctured, asphalt blasted ball, which was still shivering with the ghostly residue of its recent spectral possession.

Here are the final scores from Round 2.

Brown Team: chryssa glasgow and kyle lopez (35 points)
"Special congratulations to Brown team! chryssa glasgow , you must have scored thirty goals out there! And kyle lopez , that howling well and truly broke in my new earplugs."

Pink Team: Melody Miro and glitch maverick (31 points)
    "Melody Miro , was that an encore I saw out there? No complaints here! I can't get enough of that tapping. And glitch maverick , thanks for the Charja-Cola and the repair job on Trubbish!"

Black Team: Ezra Zeke and Raziel Beckett (26 points)

ROUND 3: SWEET HOME AL-URBAN-A

"You all clearly know how to use the biome, so now it's time to go beyond!" Zac gestured to an arriving van, which drove carefully through the ruins of the parking lot and stopped near the judging table. On its side, the van bore the logo of the Slateport Daycare and Adoption Center. "In this last round you'll need to prove that you understand the biome, and that you understand the needs of the Pokemon that live here." Zac threw open the back of the van to reveal that it was full of baby Pokemon. "Pick one of these little rippers and go find it a home in the city!"

"They're just babies, so you'll need to make sure they have a food source, shelter, and some support. Whether that support is a family, some friends, or a way of surviving on their own will be up to the baby you pick, and your best judgement."

In this round you will need to make at least three posts.

FIRST POST

In your first post, please select one of the baby Pokemon listed above. Interact with the Pokemon, explain your selection IC, and roll at the end of your first post.

SECOND POST

In your second post please find your baby food, shelter, and support, and also deal with the challenge you roll on the table below. Your challenge corresponds to the roll from your first post.

01-10: Your baby won't stop crying! It will use a noisy move at least 3 times during your post, disturbing people nearby.
11-20: Your baby has come down with Pokerus! It's EV's are growing out of control and the baby will soon be too strong to handle!
21-30: Your baby hates you and is extremely violent towards you! Maybe it is the color of your shirt, or just your face or something. Either way, it will attack you directly at least twice during your post.
31-40: Twinsies! You have two babies of your chosen Pokemon.
41-50: The baby has imprinted on you and is now extremely attached. It will not want to leave you.
51-60: Picky eater! The baby will refuse the first two foods you offer it.
61-70: Your baby will constantly try to escape!
71-80: Your baby keeps puking!
81-90: Your Pokemon is a massive nerd, and keeps getting picked on by other Pokemon you come across.
91-98: You may pick any two of the above challenges.
99: Your baby turns out to be a Ditto
100: You have all of the above challenges (minus 99)

If you wish, you may break this up into more than one post.

FINAL POST

For your third and final post, please return to the judges and answer these questions:

BOON OF KNIFE

Chu-e Choi handed Melody Miro something small and shiny: a knife.
"If you're clever, you can use this bad boy to get anything you need. Food. money, the right to pet any Pokemon you want- the possibilities are endless with a little brainpower."
The knife has no mechanical benefit, but who needs mechanics when you have a knife!

BOON OF THE LEASH

Kazimir Wynter gave kyle lopez a set of leash and collar.
"An unsupervised child is a dangerous child. you never know what they might get into when you aren't looking so its probably best to keep them reigned in and stick close to you!"
Your baby will be easier to control, and it will be harder for them to run off. However, having a baby attached to you may have its own downsides.

BOON OF THE PRINCESS

    oscar clayton handed glitch maverick a bag of S+ Poketreats.
"You exemplified resourcefulness within the biome, using what was nearby to solve your problems. Also you saved that old man. With these maybe the biome will save you when you most need it."
    The Poketreats will draw wild Pokemon to you. These wild Pokemon will aid you in your search for food, shelter and support.

BOON OF COLA

Zac Ramsay hands both kyle lopez and chryssa glasgow two cans of Charja-Cola. "One for you, and one for your babies! Not only is Charja-Cola the perfect sports drink/energy drink/meal replacement, but it also contains all the nutrients that a growing body needs! Niacin, Thiamine, even Hydroxycobalamin! The whole shebang!"
Feeding your baby the Charja-Cola will have the same effect as giving them 99 Rare Candies. The babies will hit max level, fully evolve, and will overflow with the boundless energy that only Charja-Cola can provide!

ROUND END

This round will close Thursday June 3rd at 11:59pm Tokyo time.

Based exclusively on the results of the 3rd round, the judges will determine a Contest Winner worthy of receiving the BIOME BADGE.
